Options

Pumaboards are built with the customer in mind. Some options come with the original price of the board (which is determined by the size of the board), while others cost extra.

Want something that I haven’t listed? Many of the options listed here can be tailored to suit your needs. Custom board sizes are no problem at all. If you know of a specific Tolex color and where I can buy it, I would be happy to use that on your board! Just contact me and I will try to accommodate you.

Sizes and prices

Prices are based on the size of the board (shipping and insurance are calculated by me). The dimension choices represent the overall sizes of boards; the actual surface area will be 1 inch less, width and length. All boards are 4 1/8 inches tall in the front and 1 7/8 inches tall in the back, with a depth of 15 inches.

Also, remember that this is just a guideline for sizes. These sizes are the ones listed on the order forms, but custom sizes are available at prices comparable to the ones shown. I can also do flat boards at your request. For custom sizes, you can specify in the order form, and I will reply with a quote.

Board frame

Several different colors of material are available to cover the frame of your board. The materials chart is available here. The available materials are Marshall Black Elephant Hyde, Marshall Purple Elephant Hyde, Marshall Red Elephant Hyde, Marshall White Levant, Marshall Red Levant, Marshall British Green Levant, Marshall Orange Levant, Fender Black (Old Style), Fender Cream (Vintage Smooth), Mesa/Boogie Black Taurus, Vanilla Taurus, Wine Taurus, and Tweed-patterned. I also have Fender style Tweed available.

Tops

Pumaboards are made with black Velcro Loop Fabric tops.

Metal corners

Metal corners will be added to your board free of charge. They can be either nickel or black.

Grommet

I can add a hole with a grommet to your board free of charge. There are 1.25″ grommets and 3/4″ ones (that measurement refers to the inside diameter of the grommet). The 1.25″ grommets allow for a 3-prong plug to pass through in addition to DC cables. The 3/4″ grommets are too small for a 3-prong plug but big enough for other cables. The grommet will be positioned with the center of the hole 1.75 inches from the front of the board, and centered.

Soft cases

Add a soft case from Studio Slips for your board! Briefcase-style with handles, shoulder strap and accessory pocket, in black or brown (see more photos here and here). Prices are as follows. Sizes correspond with board sizes. You have the option of specifying a custom case size, if you are ordering a custom board size or for any other reason.

Racing stripes

Racing stripes are optional. They are offered in the same colors of Tolex as the frame, and cost $30 extra. There are two styles of racing stripes; the S.S. stripes are two even stripes close to each other, and the rally stripe is one wide stripe with a small stripe on each side. Check the photo gallery for more examples.

Handles

To make the board a little easier to lift in and out of a case, I have handles available for $15 extra. They come in either black or chrome.

Power socket and A/C outlet

Power Socket (left) A/C Outlet (right)

I can install a round, recessed power socket and/or a round, recessed A/C outlet in your board. Each one is $25 extra. They are installed on either side of the board.

A power socket (male) is used to plug a regular 3-prong extension cord from the wall into the side of your board. An A/C outlet (female) is for plugging a wall wart into the side or top of your board.

Neutrik 1/4-inch jacks

For $15 each, I can install up to four Neutrik 1/4-inch jacks on each side of the board, for inputting and outputting. You will specify their locations for me.

Lava Cable plug kits

Considered one of the best cables available, these solder-free kits from Lava Cable are a great idea for Pumaboards. Each kit contains 10′ of cable, 10 connectors (either straight or right angle), and a stripping tool. The straight plug kit is $79.95, and the right angle plug kit is $89.95.

Power supply patch cord

For an additional $10, I can include a patch cord. If ordered along with a power socket, the patch cord will come installed in your Pumaboard. A patch cord will give you the necessary cord from the back of the power socket to your power supply.

Aluminum brackets for Pedal Power II

For $10, I can include aluminum brackets to mount your Pedal Power II power supply under your Pumaboard. These screw into the ends of the Pedal Power II using the existing screws, then they are screwed into the bottom of your board.
