Why Pumaboards?
Having been a gearhead for many, many years, I’ve seen my fair share of run-of-the-mill pedalboards. When a back injury forced me to quit my job at a warehouse, I turned to my love of guitars for inspiration on where to go next. With my talent for craftsmanship and eye for design, I created my dream pedalboard — a candy apple red board with white racing stripes. Now, 250+ boards and happy customers later, I’m becoming a pro at helping each of my customers create the board of their dreams.
With Pumaboards, you can hot-rod your pedalboard like people hot-rod their cars. I offer an array of customization options and extras that will ensure your board works perfectly for you. You can create any kind of board — from a clean, well-laid out, simple black board, to a striped, amp-matching board, to a ’50s red sparkly vinyl board. I can cover a board in just about anything I can get my hands on, and I can cut a board into any size you need (although I might advise you against that 50″ long board you’re considering!).
I’ve created two styles of pedalboard: the Pumaboard Classic and the Pumaboard Low Rider. The wedge shape of the Pumaboard Classic allows your foot to be comfortable, not forcing you to reach with your toes to hit the second row of pedals. It also allows for the mounting of a power supply underneath the board. And if you want, you can drill a hole (or several) in the top for running wires through. The thinner Pumaboard Low Rider is ideal for anyone who wants to save space and does not need to mount a power supply underneath.
Pumaboards are solid, sturdy, and built to last forever. Some of my earliest customers say that their boards still look like the day they got them. And I know that to be true of the (many) boards I have I built for myself. I am my own test subject.
The idea for Pumaboards was borne of my desire to do something I love, and building pedalboards and working with people has become something I truly enjoy. I want my customers to be as much a part of that fun as possible, and I make sure to involve them in the entire process. Have a look around the site, start dreaming, then let me make the pedalboard you’ve envisioned.
